Artist Spotlight: Mika
Time once again, for my artist highlight. I think so far, I've done James Morrison and Corinne Bailey Rae. Today, I'm focusing on yet another Brit: Mika. Well, he's technically Lebanese, who spent his childhood in Paris and then moved to London. Brit nonetheless.
His songs are really infectious. Really catchy and his voice ridiculously high pitched at times. He's been compared to the great Freddie Mercury, which I think could be possible... they are, after all similar maybe in more ways than one. Yeah, persistent rumors and questions about which way he swings. Which is a shame really, cause it should be all about the music, right?
His music, much like his performances, are entertainingly flamboyant and just pure pop-y joy.

Thanks! I'm getting Mika's mp3's. He's so fun to listen to. Bwahaha! It's a great pcike-me-upper.
Half the songs on his album are lyrically sad though. Listen to Billy Brown - reminds me of Queen. Dunno why.
talaga? corrine bailey rae's album bored the heck out of me. i love the voice, but the album sucked. hahaha. oh well.
mika sounds like (prince/george michael/queen)-ish. hahaha. i like the tune but i think i didn't understand a thing he said on the song. hahaha. maganda ba ang album?
